According to the United States EPA, all water system owners share key responsibilities that are critical to meeting their ultimate goal - providing an adequate and safe supply of drinking water.

They go on to say:

  • Annually assess your system's technical, managerial, and financial capacity.
  • Ensure that your infrastructure (pumps, pipes, tanks, etc.) are in good working order.
  • Determine whether staffing levels are adequate.
  • Work with the system operator to ensure that all staff training needs are met.
  • Review your systems budget annually to assess whether your system is collecting enough revenue each year to cover costs of operating and maintaining the system.

At Iris Connection, Inc. we have identified several key areas and asked the question;

What does it Cost?

What are your answers to the following questions?

 What does it Cost?

  2. When there is a utility power failure, what warning is there? What is the notification of when power is returned to normal?
  3. When the utility delivers "dirty" power? Is there a record kept of the power anomaly?
  4. When the back up power system fails?
  5. When the distribution system pressure drops below safe levels and a complete re-sanitization is required due to the unsafe levels?
  6. To be out of compliance of the availability standards?
